Tonight, over 1000 children between the ages of 0 and 18 who were abused or neglected are in the homes of caring and devoted foster and adoptive families while our social service staff work diligently with their families to see if the children can safely return home;

Tonight, countless families of children formerly in CGSHB’s care are very thankful that they have been successfully reunited as a result of our family rehabilitation services;

Tonight, 21 foster children with the HIV virus or AIDS are receiving specialized care through our trained foster parents and staff in our Special Services Program;

Tonight, 41 foster children with significant mental illness are receiving specialized care through our Therapeutic Foster Boarding Home Program which is keeping children from needing psychiatric hospitalization;

Tonight, 16 young mothers in our Mother-Child residences are living with their babies while we provide them with guidance and instruction in proper parenting methods;

Tonight, the parents of 414 children are sleeping easier because they are able to go to work or school and improve their families’ wellbeing as a result of receiving family day care services through CGSHB;

Tonight, 26 mothers and their children who would otherwise be homeless are living in our Shelters where they can regain control of their lives, seek permanent housing and the means to be self-supportive;

Tonight, 166 individuals with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, some also challenged by blindness, deafness, significant medical conditions, mental illness, ambulation issues, and the effects of aging are living quality lives through the extra care provided in our specialized residential program;
