CGSHB receives $50,000 grant from New Yorkers for Children
This grant will help to support the educational needs of 20-30 youth in foster care who are struggling academically by providing them with the needed educational coaching and mentoring that will help them to stay on track so that they can complete their high scholl education.
CGSHB receives $150,000 grant from the Lavelle Fund for the Blind
This tremendous grant will enable us to make capital repairs and habilitative improvements to our residential facility that serves people with mental retardation who are also blind. The individuals we serve will gain greater access to and maneuverability within their environment, greater independence, and greater personal success with their customized treatment plans. CGSHB will partner with the Department of Architecture at SUNY Buffalo and Visions, Inc. to accomplish this wonderful project.”
CGSHB receives $15,000 grant from the Hackett Foundation
Through the generous support of the Hackett Foundation, CGSHB has been able to purchase new furniture for the 16 residents of one of our homes for adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Thank you Hackett Foundation for this outpouring of much needed support!
