Juvenile Justice – Non-Secure Detention (NSD) Services

In partnership with the New York City Administration for Children's Services' Department of Juvenile Justice, the agency operates one Non-Secure Detention facility for youth who are awaiting adjudication in the NYC juvenile justice system. Youth range in age from 12-18 and may be in the agency’s care from one night to a month or more, depending on the length of their involvement with the courts. Specially trained staff provide a much-needed structured and healing environment for youth whose lives are in a period of turmoil. We provide the youth and their families with an opportunity to reflect on the circumstances that have brought them to the attention of the juvenile justice system and to begin to repair their family system.
